Proform 825 Elliptical

Most people that end up buying a Proform 825 elliptical will do it strictly based on price because they had a “magical” budget number of $400 and “that’s it”.

I think that’s a huge mistake because ellipticals in this price range are very basic “bare bones” machines that don’t last very long when they’re for a fitness program that has you on more than once a month.

To get an elliptical trainer that’s not a throw away machine you really need to either increase your budget to around $600 and get the Fuel FE44 elliptical trainer or save your money.

With that warning out of the way, I do give my recommendation (with conditions listed below) for the Proform 825 Elliptical if you’re dead set on getting a cheap machine and won’t listen to reason…

  • you’re at the very ceiling of your budget and can’t afford one more dime
  • you’re weight is below 175 pounds (not to rip you, but heavier people are a lot harder on cheap machines, that’s jsut a fact)
  • you are OK with the fact that you’ll need to keep some additional money set aside for repairs within the first year.
