NordicTrack 2200 Treadmill

The Nordic Track 2200 Treadmill is a mid level offering in the Nordictrack treadmill line, which includes the Nordictrack Viewpoint Treadmill and NordicTrack Incline Trainer x5 and the Nordictrack S3000 Treadmill.

The Nordictrack c2200 and Nordictrack 2200 R are virually identical treadmills so I'm only devoting one page to them both (the 2200 R is the replacement for the c2200 in 2007)

With a virtual flood of treadmills vying for top honors in this competetive portion of the market, the NordicTrack 2200 is neither remarkable or noteworthy.

The 2200 does have some nice features like the newer reflex deck cushioning system, iFit compatibility, and power incline control, but like many other treadmills in this segment the 2200 treadmill has some shortcomings in the motor and heart rate control areas.

Nordic Track 2200 features at a glance:

• iFit compatibility
• 1 step speed control
• 1 step power incline
• 10 workoutsand a mid sized 20" x 50" deck

...but (and this is a BIG but in this price range) it only has a 2.0 hp motor. You should expect a bare minimum of a 2.5 hp motor in the $1000 price range, otherwise don't even bother with it.

I don't think Nordictrack should have cut corners on the motor power, it's the one thing on a treadmill that you've got to get right, or you might as well throw the rest of the machine out the window.

If you're considering buying a Nordic Track 2200 treadmill, take a close look at the Sole F80 Treadmill, it's a much better machine with wireless heart rate control and a stronger warranty.
