NordicTrack Incline Trainer

It was only a matter of time for Nordictrack to come out with a machine to challenge the Bowflex Treadclimber.

When the Bowflex came out and broke the mold, Nordictrack soon realized how much money they were missing out on, so they put their fiendish little engineers to work on a way to steal some of Bowflex's business from under their nose.

The Nordictrack Incline Trainer is a hybrid treadmill, that while not a total copy of the Bowflex Tread Climber, a step in the same direction for sure.

The Incline Trainer is suited to users who never plan to run, because once you make a commitment with the Incline Trainer, there's no going back - the design of the machine isn't built for it.

Of the many features on the Incline Trainer...

  • CardioTrack Heart Rate Monitor
  • Navigator Console with 23 Workout Programs
  • 2.0 CHP Commercial Quadra Drive System
  • Quick Touch Incline
  • 0-10 MPH 1 Step Speed Control

Two of the best are the cardiotrack heart rate monitor that lets you get a heart rate reading from a wireless chest strap, and the one touch incline control, that makes setting your desired level of incline a snap.

Where Nordictrack dropped the ball on the incline trainer is with the weak motor design. The motors rating is only 2.0 hp, and that's not quite up to par considering the type of training that will be done on this machine is far from 'normal'.

If you're debating between the Nordictrack Incline Trainer and the Bowflex Treadclimber, I like the Treadclimber in that battle.

Another option is to get the Nordictrack S3000 Treadmilll that has the ability to incline and get the best of both worlds in one machine.
